Notice of Intent to Issue Funding Opportunity "Assisting Federal Facilities with Energy Conservation Technologies (AFFECT) 2016"
The Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) intends to issue, on behalf of the Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP), a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) entitled "Assisting Federal Facilities with Energy Conservation Technologies (AFFECT) 2016" in April or May 2016. No FOA Applications will be accepted through this Notice. The FOA will provide grants to federal agencies for establishing a program that provides an effective agency process to utilize the ENABLE Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) and subsequently applying the process to identified energy savings projects. The ENABLE contract is a streamlined ESPC for small sites that is limited to the following five types of energy conservation measures: lighting; water; controls for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC); replacement of HVAC equipment and solar photovoltaics (PV). EERE will issue the FOA via the EERE Exchange website. If Applicants wish to receive official notifications and information from EERE regarding this FOA, they should register in EERE Exchange. When the FOA is released, applications will be accepted only through EERE Exchange. For more information, including Application submission steps, please see the attached Notice of Intent.
