Northern Review of Legislative & Regulatory Actions - May 2018
The Northern Review of Legislative & Regulatory Actions provides current information on government affairs, energy and environment relevant to Department of Defense interests in the 22 states and territories in Federal Regions 1, 2, 3 and 5. The Review is intended to be a tool useful to DoD and Army leaders, planners, and program managers in carrying out their responsibilities. The Northern Review of Legislative & Regulatory Actions monitors and targets proposed and final regulations and legislation that may affect Army or DoD operations. See attached.

-- Page 3: New Jersey's legislature proposes authorization of a prescribed burning program.

 

-- Page 4: New York readopted emergency rule requiring lead testing of school drinking water. 

 

-- Page 5: Maryland adopts amendments to nonattainment provisions for major new sources and major modifications rules.  

 

-- Page 7: Virginia passes new laws addressing: rainwater and gray water regulations; a new Special Assistant to the Governor for Coastal Adaptation and Protection; amendments to recycling regulations; and standards and specifications for stream restoration.

 

-- Page 10: Michigan's legislature proposes a voluntary wetland restoration permit program.
