Northern Review of Legislative & Regulatory Actions - June 2018
The Northern Review of Legislative & Regulatory Actions provides current information on government affairs, energy and environment relevant to Department of Defense interests in the 22 states and territories in Federal Regions 1, 2, 3 and 5. The Review is intended to be a tool useful to DoD and Army leaders, planners, and program managers in carrying out their responsibilities. The Northern Review of Legislative & Regulatory Actions monitors and targets proposed and final regulations and legislation that may affect Army or DoD operations. See attached.

-- Page 2: Maine proposes new regulations concerning VOC emissions of industrial cleaning solvents.

 

-- Page 6: New Jersey's legislature proposes authorization for municipalities and counties to establish stormwater utilities.

 

-- Page 6: New York adoption of permanent regulations requiring lead testing of school drinking water. 

 

-- Page 8: Maryland new law authorizing the use of graywater for certain residential purposes.  

 

-- Page 10: Michigan proposes legislation to require testing of water for lead, and other substances, at state Veterans' Facilities. 

 

-- Page 11: Ohio adopts multiple final rules revising drinking and groundwater rules, NPDES Permit Program rules, water quality trading program rules, and wetland water quality standards.
