Accidental Release Prevention Requirements: Risk Management Programs Under the CAA; Further Delay of Effective Date (Final)
Mar. 20, 2017
By a letter dated 13 March 2017, the Administrator announced the convening of a proceeding for reconsideration of the final rule that amends the chemical accident prevention provisions addressing Risk Management Programs under the Clean Air Act published in the Federal Register on 13 January 2017. The effective date of these regulations had been 21 March 2017. By this action, the EPA is administratively staying and delaying the effective date of this rule for 90 days. Thus, the 13 January 2017 rule will become effective on 19 June 2017. POC is James Belke, United States EPA, Office of Land and Emergency Management, 1200 Pennsylvania Ave. NW.
