Withdrawal of Extension of Deadline for Promulgating Designations for the 2015 Ozone NAAQS (Final)
Aug. 10, 2017
EPA is announcing that it is withdrawing the 1-year extension of the deadline for promulgating initial area designations for the ozone national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS) that were promulgated in October 2015. Thus, unless and until the Administrator takes additional final action, the 2-year deadline for promulgating designations provided in the Clean Air Act (CAA) applies. The deadline for the EPA to promulgate initial designations for the 2015 ozone NAAQS is 1 October 2017.
