Reclassifying the Golden Conure From Endangered to Threatened With a Section 4(d) Rule (Draft)
Sep. 5, 2018
FWS is announcing a 12-month finding on a petition to delist or downlist the golden conure under the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended (Act). After review of the best available scientific and commercial information, FWS finds that listing the golden conure as a threatened species is warranted. Additionally, FWS is proposing to update the List to reflect the latest scientifically accepted taxonomy and nomenclature for the species as Guaruba guarouba, golden conure. Comments must be received or postmarked on or before 5 November 2018.
