Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Designation of Critical Habitat for Trispot Darter (Draft)
Dec. 28, 2018
USFWS proposes to designate critical habitat for the trispot darter (Etheostoma trisella) under the Endangered Species Act of 1973 (ESA). In total, approximately 181 river miles (291 kilometers) and 16,735 acres (6,772 hectares) in the Coosa River system in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee fall within the boundaries of the proposed critical habitat designation. If finalized, this rule as proposed, would extend the ESA protections to this species' critical habitat.
