Designation of Critical Habitat for Yellow Lance (Draft)
Feb. 6, 2020
FWS proposes to designate critical habitat for the yellow lance (Elliptio lanceolata) under the ESA. In total, approximately 319 river miles (mi) (514 kilometers (km)) in North Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland fall within the boundaries of the proposed critical habitat designation. If this rule is finalized, it would extend the Act's protections to this species' critical habitat. FWS will accept comments on the proposed rule and draft economic analysis that are received or postmarked on or before 6 April 2020.
