Discharge Monitoring Reports - Avoiding Common Mistakes (Web-based)
REMINDER: The primary audience for this webinar are National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permittees that are required to submit discharge monitoring reports (DMRs) under the Clean Water Act (CWA) that have been in violation recently due to reporting errors, are new to DMR reporting or that simply want to improve their understanding of the DMR preparation and reporting process. EPA is presenting a series of technical assistance webinars to highlight best practices at small wastewater treatment systems. This orientation level webinar will present helpful information for NPDES permittees on how to calculate typical permit parameters from sampling data, including weekly and monthly averages, monthly flow and pollutant load. It will also cover common issues such as how to use non-detects, round numbers, and proper unit conversions. The second part of the webinar will be helpful to permittees in the 26 states that submit their data using NetDMR. This section will cover common issues in setting up and maintaining a CDX account and familiarize participants with useful resources.
