Identifying Types of Toxic Chemical Use

EPA is concerned about how each toxic chemical is used rather than about how the product is used. In some cases, a product may contain two toxic chemicals and one may be "processed", the other may be "otherwise used".

Step 14 A

Manufacturing

For each product in which this toxic chemical was manufactured, record an estimate of the quantity of the particular TC contained in each non-exempt product that was manufactured at the facility during the previous calendar year in column 5 of Step 1, on the same line as the product containing the TC. Record the estimates for the exempt amount (if applicable) in column 4 of Step 2, on the same line as the product containing the TC.
