This act (33 USC 1401 - 1444), may be cited as the "Ocean Dumping Ban Act of 1988" declares that the United States will strictly limit all dumping into the ocean of any material which would adversely affect human health, welfare, or amenities, or the marine environment, ecological systems, or economic potentialities.
