Offered by EPA's Air Pollution Training Institute (APTI), the modules in this course (APTI SI-422) serve to provide the student with an introduction or refresher in the basics of air pollution control. After completing this course, the student should be familiar with the various interrelated aspects of air pollution control, understand the basic terminology, and have a rudimentary understanding of some of the technical aspects of regulating, measuring, and controlling air pollution. The student will find links to the EPA Web site for further research in the air pollution control field. Each module in the course is composed of units that include introductory materials, graphics, and a quick quiz for review. After completing the course, the student must pass the final test with a score of 90% or better to earn a certificate.
