These presentations highlight innovative approaches to improving energy efficiency and operational performance across DoD facilities. The first presentation will discuss the development and dissemination of standardized advanced lighting control strategies, training, and best practices that help overcome implementation barriers, enabling DoD stakeholders to achieve substantial lighting energy savings while improving building operation, cost-effectiveness, and cybersecurity. The second presentation will present a standardized Existing Building Commissioning (EBCx) framework designed for integration into Utility Energy Service Contracts (UESCs) and Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPCs), improving consistency, transparency, and identification of energy conservation opportunities. Together, these efforts support greater energy efficiency, reduced lifecycle costs, enhanced resilience, and more effective facility management across the DoD.
