The National Adaptation Forum is a bi-annual convening for adaptation professionals to innovate, network, and focus on established and emerging climate adaptation issues of the day. The Forum provides opportunities for professional development through training sessions, facilitated presentations and panels, and formal and informal networking sessions. At its core, the Forum is cross-disciplinary, bringing together practitioners from a variety of sectors, spanning natural, built, and social systems. Participants include representatives from federal, state and tribal governments, nonprofit organizations, businesses, scientists, and frontline community groups. Participants are managers, planners, and service providers. They focus on built environments and ecosystems. The Forum program covers over 25 adaptation-related topics and 12 geographic regions across the U.S. and beyond. We encourage the submission of unique ideas and attendance from adaptation-adjacent sectors – it's only by working together will we solve the challenges posed by climate change. The overall goal of the National Adaptation Forum is to move beyond adaptation awareness into adaptation action by highlighting the breadth of adaptation activities occurring in the United States and around the world. We aim to bring together practitioners with a variety of experiences and expertise, so as a field, we spend more time innovating rather than reinventing.
The Getting to Zero Forum is the premier event dedicated to building decarbonization. With a growing number of climate emergencies across the United States and around the world, there is no more important time than now for the Getting to Zero Forum. The event brings together the world's leading experts to share best practice approaches to reducing energy demand and decarbonization related to policy, program, and projects. It is the only event with a broad cross-section of stakeholders focused on ambitious building efficiency goals and is an ideal venue for organizing both the policy and building communities to achieve zero carbon ambitions.
The Climate Leadership Conference (CLC) and Awards (CLAs) were launched in 2011 to continue the legacy of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Climate Leaders program, which recognized companies for setting and achieving greenhouse gas reduction goals from 2002 to 2011. Founding partners of the updated awards program and climate-focused conference in 2012 included the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES), The Climate Registry, the EPA's Center for Corporate Climate Leadership, and the Association of Climate Change Officers (ACCO). Since 2023, The Climate Registry has been thrilled to continue the work of celebrating the nation's climate leaders as lead presenter of the Climate Leadership Conference and Awards.
