Designation of Critical Habitat for the Dixie Valley Toad (Draft)

USFWS proposes to designate critical habitat for the Dixie Valley toad (Anaxyrus williamsi) under the ESA. In total, approximately 930 acres (376 hectares) in Churchill County, Nevada, fall within the boundaries of the proposed critical habitat designation. If finalize this rule would extend the Act's protections to this species' critical habitat. They also announce the availability of a draft economic analysis of the proposed designation of critical habitat for the Dixie Valley toad. They will accept comments received or postmarked on or before 29 July 2024.
