EPA published preliminary Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) data about chemical releases, waste management and pollution prevention activities that took place during 2024 at more than 21,000 industrial and federal facilities across the country. EPA is also making a routine update to its online TRI tools to include new reporting from submissions, revisions and withdrawals from 2023 and earlier that EPA has processed since October 2024. These updated data are, in part, the result of EPA's work to assist industrial facilities in collecting and submitting accurate TRI data.
