This EPA website provides a fact sheet for each of the 29 industrial sectors regulated by the multi-sector general permit (MSGP). Each fact sheet describes the types of facilities included in the sector, typical pollutants associated with the sector, and types of stormwater control measures used to minimize the discharge of the pollutants. The website also provides guidance on preparing a SWPPP and monitoring Stormwater as well as providing templates for SWPPPs.

EPA's new Environmental and Climate Justice Community Change Grants program (Community Change Grants) has announced a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for approximately $2 billion dollars in Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) funds in environmental and climate justice activities to benefit disadvantaged communities through projects that reduce pollution, increase community climate resilience, and build community capacity to address environmental and climate justice challenges. These place-based investments will be focused on community-driven initiatives to be responsive to community and stakeholder input. They are designed to deliver on the transformative potential of the IRA for communities most adversely and disproportionately impacted by climate change, legacy pollution, and historical disinvestments.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Office of Inspector General is issuing a fraud alert to highlight an increasingly common phishing scam involving fraudulent EPA Notice of Violation letters. In this scam, a fraudster sends a falsified EPA Notice of Violation letter to a target business and requests that the business respond by phone or email.

An informational public webinar was held on 1 May 2023 to discuss EPA's proposed actions to reduce exposure to ethylene oxide (EtO) from commercial sterilization facilities and healthcare facilities.

The Interagency Agreement (IA) establishes a cooperative natural resource conservation partnership between the Army and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) to support the management of natural resources on and near Army controlled lands. With the establishment of this formal agreement, the Army will be able to sustain and enhance its ranges, ensuring the attainment of its training/testing capabilities, meeting its mission readiness goals, and directly support the Secretary's priorities and National Defense Strategy. Through the IA, the Army will have assistance in meeting its Federal stewardship requirements and ensure the continued availability of installation lands to support Army readiness by providing a mechanism under which the Army can request reimbursable support from the FWS for the conservation of fish and wildlife and their habitats on and near Army installations and lands.

In October 2011, the Interagency Climate Change Adaptation Task Force published the "National Action Plan: Priorities for Managing Freshwater Resources in a Changing Climate." It was developed by the Water Resources and Climate Change Adaptation Workgroup made up of federal agencies with responsibilities for water management. This recent report highlights progress made in 2014 implementing the National Action Plan and describes the specific tasks that federal agencies are planning to undertake in 2015. The work described in this report reports reflect a comprehensive, coordinated, and continuing effort by federal agencies to respond to the challenges for water resources management posed by climate change.

The Interagency Marine Debris Coordinating Committee (IMDCC) is an interagency body responsible for developing and recommending comprehensive and multi-disciplinary approaches to reduce the sources and impacts of marine debris to the nation's marine environment, natural resources, public safety, and economy. The IPCC is a scientific intergovernmental body set up by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). Its role is to assess on a comprehensive, objective, open and transparent basis the latest scientific, technical and socio-economic literature produced worldwide relevant to the understanding of the risk of human-induced climate change, its observed and projected impacts and options for adaptation and mitigation.

This CEQ guidance, dated 23 December 2016, provides agencies with guidance for calculating achievement of the waste diversion goals in E.O. 13693 Section 3(j)(ii) and (iii), in support of the E.O.'s overarching goal of reducing GHG emissions. The waste diversion goals, and therefore the calculation methodologies in this guidance, apply only to non-hazardous waste. Agencies should consult applicable Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) provisions and regulations to ensure determination and proper management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.

EPA is announcing the following interim guidance regarding public meetings and hearings in the RCRA process during the COVID-19 public health emergency. This interim guidance provides alternative approaches, recommendations and resources to help ensure public participation when in-person interactions are not possible. EPA regards public meetings as an important opportunity for communities and other stakeholders to ask questions, discuss issues, and become involved in local RCRA-related activities.

The 2024 updated interim guidance presents available information on the destruction and disposal of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances and PFAS-containing materials. This update identifies available, effective and methods to remediate, dispose of and destroy PFAS contamination. It provides information on the current state of science and associated uncertainties for three large-scale capacity technologies that can destroy PFAS or control PFAS release into the environment: thermal destruction, landfills, and underground injection. This guidance will help decision-makers select technologies based on characteristics of the waste and options available to prevent releases and keep PFAS out of the environment. The Department of the Interior today announced that the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) has completed the environmental analysis of the proposed Vineyard Wind I offshore wind project. This represents major progress in the Biden-Harris administrations goal to accelerate responsible development of renewable energy on public lands and waters as a key component of tackling the climate crisis and creating jobs. Vineyard Wind is proposing what is expected to be the first project developed in their lease area, an 800-megawatt wind energy project offshore Massachusetts. The proposed project would be located approximately 12 nautical miles offshore Martha's Vineyard and 12 nautical miles offshore Nantucket in the northern portion of Vineyard Winds lease area. If approved, it would be the first commercial scale offshore wind project in the United States.

The Department of the Interior announced today the single largest grant investment ever from the Land and Water Conservation Fund's Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership Program (ORLP). Through ORLP, the National Park Service (NPS) will invest $254.68 million into 54 projects in 24 states for the redevelopment or creation of new local parks. The ORLP program advances President Biden's America the Beautiful Initiative, a locally led, voluntary conservation and restoration effort that aims to address the nature and climate crises, improve equitable access to the outdoors, and strengthen the economy. Providing safe outdoor spaces for communities that are park-deprived is one of six areas of focus. The program also helps advance the Administration's Justice40 Initiative that aims to have 40 percent of the benefits of federal funding flow to disadvantaged communities.

As part of the comprehensive review of the federal oil and gas program called for in Executive Order 14008, the Interior Department will host a virtual forum on 25 March 2021. The day-long forum will feature several panels to highlight perspectives from industry representatives, labor and environmental justice organizations, natural resource advocates, and other experts. The information gathered at the forum, which will be livestreamed, will help inform an interim report from the Department that will be completed in early summer. The report will include initial findings on the state of the federal conventional energy programs, as well as outline next steps and recommendations for the Department and Congress to improve stewardship of public lands and waters, create jobs, and build a just and equitable energy future.

A new tool for evaluating stormwater BMP effectiveness. This database provides access to BMP performance data in a standardized format for roughly 200 BMP studies conducted over the past fifteen years.

The International Trails Summit is a joint event hosted by American Trails and the Professional Trail Builders Association (PTBA) and presented every other year. The 2023 International Trails Summit was the first jointly hosted event and its success built upon decades of American Trails' International Trails Symposium and PTBA's Sustainable Trails Conferences. This inaugural event brought together more than 900 people for three days in Reno, NV and featured the first off-site day. Every other year, PTBA hosts the Sustainable Trails Conference, a smaller more focused conference.
