Call for Presentation Abstracts
This year's theme for the Symposium – Mission, Environment, and Our Communities – focuses on the sharing of best practices, success stories, partnerships, and challenges and achievements of the federal practitioner community. If you are looking for information on new or existing environmental regulations, what the latest is on recent executive orders, how climate change and environmental justice fit into your sustainability plans, or have questions about EPA's current regulatory focus, then join us in preparing for a three day, 5 hour/day online virtual program showcasing your agency's accomplishments and lessons learned from this past year.
To make the Symposium a success, please consider participating as a presenter to convey information and generate discussion about your organization's own achievements and challenges across the wide array of environmental categories the Symposium Committee has selected. Click here to view the categories available, their descriptions, and suggested topics.
Speakers from federal, state, and local regulatory agencies, academia and private organizations representing a federal agency, are invited to present at the event. The call for presentation abstracts opens here on Thursday, November 17, 2022 and closes on Friday, January 14th, 2022, 11:59pm EST. Once the abstracts are received and processed, you will be notified within approximately 30 days whether your presentation has been accepted, and you will receive instructions on how the session you are in will be conducted online.
Complete instructions for submitting your presentation abstract are available here. The instructions provide a list of potential topics we would like to see at the Symposium. Your presentation proposals are by no means limited to these examples; they are provided merely to show areas of high interest amongst the Federal community.
If you work for a Federal agency (or State agency) and are interested in presenting at this year's Symposium, please take a few minutes to fill out the form below and become an integral part of this growing forum for the Federal sustainability community! Please note that if you are not a Federal employee and wish to submit an abstract you must indicate your link to a Federal program, project or partnership. Non-federal submissions that serve only to promote vendor products or services will not be accepted.
