U.S. DOE Sustainable Acquisition Workgroup
Public information area for members of DOE's Sustainable Acquisition Workgroup.

The U.S. Department of Energy purchases products with the most sustainable attributes possible, especially those attributes designated by Acts of Congress and Federal regulations for purchase. This site is primarily for DOE sites to use as a source of information for transitioning to more sustainable products.

To facilitate transition, this DOE Sustainable Acquisition website offers information on purchasing requirements, how to imbed the requirements into Environmental Management Systems and contracts, purchasing approaches, availability of products, education tools, tracking/reporting, and success stories/technology transfer and benefits information so sites can quickly find the required products that meet all the performance, regulatory, cost, etc. specifications.
